Missionaries We Support

Matthew 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
(NIV)

We have worked full-time in Nepal from 2015 to 2020. During those five years we have worked with our Nepali family to establish the vocational training ministries such as a Café, Bakery, Beauty Parlour, and Tailoring. We have also worked with key believers, teaching, and discipling them in the truths of the word. We have seen the Lord work in their lives and establish them in their faith and some are
now in ministry teaching others. The GHS book was published in Nepali late 2019 and has
proven to be an effective tool in teaching and discipleship.

We are OMF International missionaries working in Brisbane. We are reaching out to the Japanese people here with the message of Jesus. Our aim is to see them saved and discipled so they can flourish when they return to Japan. We also train Aussies to reach out. We are involved in one on one and small group Bible studies.

We have been serving the Lord in the Philippines since 1987. Our ministry has involved many things that we could never have seen ourselves doing when we first arrived here as a very young couple, but which God empowered us to do through His amazing plan, power and strength! We have served our Lord here through church planting, Bible translation, baptizing, teaching, discipleship, medical work, building, community development and all that God has set before our hands to do. In the 2020, we began developing online evangelism materials in four different languages, distributed our newly finished translation of the Talaandig New Testament in many, many villages, and we continue to teach, to support and help the leadership of the 70+ churches, and to help raise up new teams of missionaries from amongst our own churches.

Why we Support Missionaries

Here at Kingsridge we are passionate about Missions and our being involved in a variety of missional efforts around the globe.
Author, Pastor, and missional thinker, David Platt has said: “Unreached peoples and places are those among whom Christ is largely unknown and the Church is relatively insufficient to make Christ known in its broader population without outside help.”
We believe that the local Church has been called by our Lord Jesus to assist select and approved workers in the reaching of these peoples with the Gospel, and further in the assistance of developing disciples for Christ among all people groups and nations. Paul challenges the Church as to the Gospel going forth. He writes:

“How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe
without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they
preach unless they are sent?”
(Rom.10:14)

With this it becomes imperative for the local Church to be helping prepare and equip those called by God to this task of world evangelisation. For this reason, we see ourselves as part of “The Team” who do this work “together.” We want to “send” workers to such a ministry, and we want to help prayerfully and financially those who give their lives to this aspect of ministry. No one can come to saving faith in Christ alone without hearing the Gospel, and for that reason the local Church has to serve as a sending entity (Acts 13:1-5/Phil. 1:27/ Gal.3:27-28). Missions, therefore, is a major part of who we are at Kingsridge, because we are convinced that Missions has always been at the heart of the Church and continues to be until the Lord returns.
